4:20, 420, 4/20 or four twenty.

No matter how you say it, today is 4:20 cannabis day, the day when the counterculture world celebrates the use of marijuana.

The concept of the 4:20 world was a theme that I used in my latest eBook, RAMBLE ON - a tale of Sex, Drugs, Rock N Roll and Murder. I consciously scheduled my book to be published at Amazon to be available for this holiday.

RAMBLE ON... - A BOOK WITH A RECOMMENDED SOUNDTRACK

I believe I have offered readers of my new eBook a new and rather interesting option. My latest novel, RAMBLE ON..., is a story of Sex, Drugs, Rock N Roll and Murder.

I discovered that as I was writing the book I could hear a soundtrack of classic rock songs playing in my mind. It was a rather eerie experience and most of the music I could hear as I wrote was helping to set the mood of the story and became an integral component of the storytelling experience.

For example, while I was writing the opening of the book I could clearly hear the Guns N Roses song PARADISE CITY, and it just seemed so appropriate to the experience of the story that I decided to make these song choices part of the reading experience.

This experience continued as I wrote the novel. Ultimately, there are approximately 65 songs recommended to make the reading experience more tangible, more all encompassing. Since anyone reading RAMBLE ON, will be doing so on an electronic eReader of some sort, it will be possible for them to access the appropriate song via the internet and play the song as they read. I believe this will make the book much more total and absorbing reading experience.

As far as I am aware, this is a first in the world of books! Has anyone ever recommended a soundtrack to be played as a book is read? If so, I have been unable to find it. So sit back enjoy the book and ROCK ON!

There’s a new drug dealer in town. In the spring of 1983 Jessie Cayne rolled into El Paso, Texas on his vintage Harley. Jessie is an army brat, a high school football star and a small time drug dealer. He’s comes to a new town with lofty ambitions -he’s long on talent, but short of cash. He quickly joins the city’s best high school football team - the RIO GRANDE CONQUISTADORS and begins to traffic drugs to the wealthy students of his new school for the local narcotics cartel. Jessie’s game plan is a simple one - win a State football championship, earn a scholarship to an Ivy League school and leave his days of poverty behind. This plan goes off the tracks when he becomes friends with the wealthy, enigmatic and tortured Moby McIntyre. He becomes embroiled with the gorgeous love child Mary and is then seduced by a crazy sexual predator. He appears destined for fame and greatness until he is seduced by the three things he loves the most - SEX, DRUGS, and ROCK ‘n’ ROLL.

After a great deal of deliberation I have decided to publish this novel exclusively at AMAZON.

While this will limit the exposure of the novel, it will also consolidate sales to the one vendor, and since my Amazon sales of my other two novels are nearly all at AMAZON it seemed fitting to go where the sales are.

Should I see a need to expand the availability to other vendors such as KOBO or Barnes & Noble, then I’ll re-evaluate that decision.

Well, for those blog readers that are following my blog, and have read my previous two novels, I'm currently on my final proofreading of my latest novel. With luck and at my present pace it should be completed and available for sale by the end of April 2014.
